Late Pickup
As a one-on-one groomer, I do not use crates or kennels. This means your dog receives my full attention throughout their grooming session. However, timely pickup is essential for the comfort of your dog and the safety and efficiency of my workspace.
Due to increasing delays in pickups—sometimes exceeding an hour or more—I am implementing the following Late Pickup Policy:
- You are expected to pick up your dog within 15 minutes of being notified that grooming is complete.
- If pickup exceeds 15 minutes, a late fee of $1 per minute will be added to your total.
- After 30 minutes, if I am unable to reach you, I reserve the right to contact an emergency contact or, if necessary, appropriate authorities or pet services.
- Repeat late pickups may result in denial of future appointments.
Please respect that I cannot safely or effectively work on the next dog if your pet is still with me. This policy ensures a calm, safe environment for all dogs in my care—and helps me stay on schedule for every client.
Thank you for understanding and respecting my time and workspace!
No-Show Policy
Life happens—but when appointments are missed without notice, it impacts my schedule and prevents other dogs from getting the care they need.
Effective immediately:
- Any missed appointment without at least 24 hours’ notice will result in a 50% no-show fee, added to the cost of your next groom.
- New clients who no-show twice will not be rebooked.
Please communicate any changes or emergencies as soon as possible. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping things running smoothly for everyone!
Late Cancellation Fee
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are difficult to fill and leave gaps in the schedule that affect the flow of the day.
To help respect everyone’s time:
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment are subject to a 50% late cancellation fee, due before rebooking.
- Frequent late cancellations may result in a deposit being required to hold future appointments.
I understand that emergencies happen—please reach out as soon as possible if you need to make changes. Your consideration helps keep the schedule running smoothly for all clients.
De-matting Fee
Mats happen—but severe matting can be extremely uncomfortable and even painful for your dog. It also makes the grooming process significantly longer, more stressful, and in some cases, unsafe for both the dog and the groomer.
To ensure the health and comfort of your pet:
- I allow up to 15 minutes of gentle de-matting as part of the standard grooming service.
- If more time is required, a de-matting fee of $1 per minute will apply for each additional minute spent removing mats.
- In cases of severe matting, a short clip-down may be the most humane option to avoid pain or injury.
Why this policy matters:
De-matting is a physically demanding and delicate process. It requires immense patience, skill, and care to avoid causing skin irritation, stress, or injury. Excessive matting can hide underlying skin issues, restrict movement, and even affect blood flow. My priority is always your dog’s well-being and safety, and this policy helps ensure a fair use of time and resources.
Regular brushing at home and consistent grooming appointments are the best way to prevent matting and keep your pup looking and feeling their best!
